ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

We have been very fortunate to have traveled to so many wonderful places:  Australia, Egypt, China, Japan, South America, Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Mexico.  It has been such a wonderful learning experience for our entire family.  If you click on the family photos link, you can see photos of some of our travels.  I am also a certified scuba diver (having been initiated in the freezing cold ocean and glorious kelp beds at Catalina Island) and dove The Great Barrier Reef!

Be sue and check out our travel company.  We would be love to help you plan your dream trip to Germany or anywhere in Europe!

I was born and raised in Sacramento.  I am a  1974 graduate of James Marshall High.  I attended Sacramento City College, then moved to San Jose and attended West Valley College where I studied fashion merchandising/interior design.  After I was married, we moved to Houston where we lived for 3 years.  We then moved to Southern California and lived in Laguna Beach, Coto de Caza and Dove Canyon.   After 13 years of marriage, my son, Nicholas Christensen, was born in Laguna Beach, California,  in 1991.  We spent 5 years in beautiful Southern California before moving to the Dallas area and after two short years, moved back to California, to Fresno, where we currently live.  My daughter, Andrea Christensen, was born in Fresno, California, in 1998.

Writing has always been a passion of mine and now a life-long dream has come true.  In October, 2008, my first children's book, Nicky's Nocturnal Octopus, was published.  A year later, my next children's book, Princess Andrea's Birthday Surprise was published. This story is about a pet duck Andrea used to have.  There will be a series of adventures of Princess Andrea, so check back.

I have also been incorporating events from my travels and places from my favorite City, Paris, into the first of my novels, In Search of . . . the Ultimate Reward, which I hope to complete soon.  There are also two sequels in the works!

Working a full-time job at a law firm and taking care of a house and family doesn't leave much time to write.  However; somehow, I manage to work it in.  When I am not writing, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking, scrapbooking, reading, entertaining and of course, traveling!

I am an active supporter and fundraiser for The American Cancer Society.  For the past 9 years, my children and I have participated in  and walked the 24-hour Relay for Life.  We also fundraise for Make a Wish and participate in the annual Rumble to the Summit, as well as supportiing their schools and various other charities.
Nick and I volunteered at our local Valley Public Television station, manning the phones with Peter Yarrow from The Mamas & The Papas.  (4/08)
